This triangular shaped mountain, which has taken its name from one Kashmiri poetess namely Habba Khatun is the main attraction of this valley. It is believed that even today Habba Khatun is wandering in search of her husband here.

Located at 16,870 feet high from sea level, this mountain is a part of Himalayas. It is situated between Sindh and Kishanganga river. This site is considered sacred among Hindus as it is the abode of Lord Shiva.
How to reach
Gurej valley in the Himalayas is located at a distance of 86 kms from Bandipura and 125 kms from Srinagar. You can take either bus or car from Srinagar to reach Gurej valley. The nearest airport and railway station are also there in Srinagar. The most accurate time for coming here is between the months of May to October.
